How we work
Everything we promise, in writing.
SEO Kings is a small, family-run studio in Keynsham. Rich designs and builds every website himself, so the person you talk to is the person doing the work. This page sets out how a project runs, what you own, how payment works and what you can expect from us.
Our response promise: Reply the same working day, always within 24 hours.
Week by week
From brief to launch
A typical trade website takes two to three weeks once we have your details. Larger sites take longer, and you get a date before we start.
- 01
Day 1
Free audit and a chat
You get a short video of your current site and Google profile. We talk about the jobs you want more of and the areas you cover.
- 02
Week 1
Plan and fixed quote
A written plan: the pages, what each one is for, what we need from you and a fixed price. Nothing starts until you agree it.
- 03
Week 1–2
Words and photos
We interview you, research the searches in your area and write every page. You send photos of your work, or we help you take them.
- 04
Week 2
Design with your real content
You see the site with your own words and photos, on your phone, and tell us what to change.
- 05
Week 2–3
Build and test
We build it, then test it on phones, tablets and desktops, check speed and accessibility, and set up tracking.
- 06
Launch
Go live
We connect your domain, link your Google Business Profile and check Google can see every page.
- 07
After
Look after it
Changes by WhatsApp or email, and, if you are on a local SEO plan, a plain-English report every month.
Ownership
What you own
Once a website is paid for, it is yours outright. There is no licence fee to keep using your own site and nothing held back if you leave.
- Your domain, registered in your name.
- The website: the code, the words, the design and the photos.
- Your Google Business Profile, with you as the owner and us as a manager.
- Your data: Search Console, Analytics and enquiry history, in accounts you control.
- Everything we create on a monthly plan: pages, guides, citations and listings.
If you move on, we hand everything over and help whoever comes next. You can spread the build cost (not monthly plans) over monthly payments with no interest, with the first payment on launch day; ownership passes on the final payment. If a payment is missed, our terms set out what happens.
Payment
How payment works
Every price is fixed and agreed in writing before any work starts. If the scope changes because you ask for more, we quote the extra first and only go ahead when you say yes.
- Websites
- One-off fixed price. No deposit: you pay once your site is live, within 14 days.
- Monthly plans
- Local SEO and care plans are paid monthly in advance. Payment method TBC
- VAT
- SEO Kings Ltd is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add: the price we quote is the price you pay.
- Hosting
- Every new website includes 12 months’ care (hosting, backups and updates), or 12 months’ hosting on Starter. After that, care plans start at £15 a month.
Cancellation
Stopping, pausing or leaving
There is no contract. Local SEO and care plans run month to month, and either can be stopped with 30 days’ written notice.
If you cancel a website project before launch, you pay for the work done so far and nothing more, and what has been made is yours. If something doesn’t match what we agreed, tell us within 30 days of launch: we fix our own mistakes free of charge.
We don’t promise rankings. Nobody honestly can, because Google decides. What we promise is the work, done properly, reported honestly, with dated proof of what it achieved.
Why it’s different
You deal with the people doing the work.
There are no account managers, juniors or offshore teams. Rich designs, builds and writes; the family helps run the business. We keep the number of clients small enough that each one gets proper attention, and we say so if we are too busy to take on more.
Proof matters to us. Every figure on this site is dated and sourced, and anything we can’t evidence stays off the page. The same goes for your reports.
The full legal version of all this is in our terms of business. If anything there differs from what we agreed with you in writing, what we agreed with you wins.
