Plenty of Yate businesses have a website that says “Bristol and surrounding areas”, or nothing about where they work at all, and it costs them local searches. We build fast, mobile-first sites with a page for each job you want and the places you cover named properly: Yate, Chipping Sodbury and the villages around. Written with you and owned by you, it’s the same web design for trades we do across the region.

Websites in Yate
People here search for Yate and Chipping Sodbury by name. A site that only mentions Bristol is easy to pass over, both by Google and by the customer scrolling through results. Your town, the places you cover and photos of jobs there should be obvious within seconds, along with a phone number that works and a form that takes thirty seconds.
Yate customers see local firms alongside others from Bradley Stoke, Thornbury and north Bristol, plus the directories. Many of those sites are old, slow or built on a template in an evening. A quick, clear site with your own work, prices or a price guide where you can give one, and reviews visible on the page is usually enough to stand out.
One page per service you want more of, so a search for “bathroom fitter Yate” lands on a page about bathrooms. Most visits come from a phone, often in the evening, so the site has to load on 4G and keep the call button in reach. That’s also what Google needs to show it to the right people.
Moving to a new site
Three of the trades we’ve built for came to us from Wix. The move is planned before anything changes, so you keep what Google already knows about your business.
We list the pages Google knows and redirect each one to its new home, so links and bookmarks keep working.
If a builder or past designer holds your domain, we help you move it into your own account first.
Once the new site is live you can cancel the old plan. Hosting is part of the care that comes with every build.
How we build it
A typical trade website takes two to three weeks once we have your details and photos, and you get a date before we start.
Which jobs pay best and which places you want more of: Yate, Chipping Sodbury, the villages or further afield.
What people round here actually type for your trade. Each page is built around a real search.
We interview you and write every page in plain English. You check it before anything goes live.
A static site checked on real phones and 4G, set up for Google from day one and linked to your Google profile.
Domain, hosting, redirects and Search Console handled. Changes are a WhatsApp message away for the first year.
Proof
We haven’t built for a Yate business yet, so these are our nearest builds, each card naming its town. Where a result has been measured it’s shown with its date and source; where it hasn’t, we don’t guess.

“I honestly couldn't be happier with the work that's been done on my website and SEO. From the very beginning, the team was professional, responsive, and really took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. My website looks fantastic, was built exactly to my specification, and they also came up with some great ideas and guidance that made it even better than I had imagined.”

“Rich at SEO Kings recently created a new website for my business, completely transforming and improving all aspects of it. The new website is clean, professional, and exactly what I wanted. Rich was communicative, helpful, and efficient throughout the process. He is also currently carrying out SEO work for my business.”
Area by area
A good Yate site names the places you cover and shows work from each. Here’s what customers in each part of the area look for on a website. Pick a place on the map to jump to it.

Shops, cafés, salons and services around the shopping centre and Station Road need sites that do the basics brilliantly: opening hours, a price list or menu, booking and directions that work with one thumb. Visitors are usually nearby and deciding quickly. For a town-centre business, a small, fast site linked to an up-to-date Google profile beats a big one that’s hard to keep current.

Chipping Sodbury’s older stone houses and independent high street call for sites with character. Trades doing roofing, stonework or period joinery should show it in large, sharp photos with short captions naming the job and the street. Pubs, restaurants and shops on Broad Street need menus, opening times and events kept up to date, because locals check before they walk down.

New residents on the northern edge have no trusted names yet, so they judge firms by their websites and reviews. Pages for the improvement work they want, such as landscaping, driveways, kitchens and home offices, with photos of similar modern houses, earn the call. Reviews on the page and a quick enquiry form help a newcomer decide without phoning three firms.

Family homes from Yate’s years of rapid growth now need bathrooms, kitchens, boilers and roofs. Customers want quick answers: what you do, roughly what it costs and when you can start. A short site with clear service pages, a price guide where possible and reviews on every page suits them better than a long company history.
BS37
Owners planning extensions, lofts and garden projects here research for weeks. Project pages with before-and-after photos, timescales and what was involved do most of the selling. Because these streets sit between Yate and Chipping Sodbury, the site should name both, so customers on either side know you cover them.

Villagers find a trade through neighbours, then check the website to confirm. That confirmation is where weak sites lose them: no list of areas, no recent work, no clear contact. A service area page that names the villages, with a few photos of local jobs, settles it, and it’s also what helps Google show you for searches made there.
Packages in Yate
No deposit. Pay in one go once your site is live, or monthly with no interest, with the first payment on launch day. Premium is agreed in your quote.
Before you hire
Whoever builds your site, us or another web designer near Yate, get straight answers to these first.
The domain should be in your name, and the site handed over if you leave, with no licence fee. Get it in writing.
Live sites, not mock-ups. Open them on your phone on 4G and see how quickly they load and how easy it is to call.
Many quotes expect you to write the pages yourself. Check whether writing is included and who does it.
Hosting, security and changes all cost something eventually. Ask what’s included, for how long, and the price afterwards.
By trade
What a roofer’s site needs is different from a plasterer’s or a café’s. These pages go into the detail for each.
